The owners and staff were very friendly and hospitable and went out of their way to make the stay as agreeable as possible. They fir their schedule to us.
Had to pull our ovestuffed luggage up the stairs.
The room was elegant, comfortable, quiet, and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was not too nice, but the hotel itself was lovely.
The staff were very friendly and made us welcome. They had cases taken to rooms. The rooms were large and well appointed with comfortable leather armchair and desk in addition to a very comfortable double bed. The bathrooms were newly done out. There was a separate lounge and dining room. Intereseting Scottish photographic exhibition in the dining room. The foord was good. PLenty of choice for breakfast and adequate choice for dinner. There was an attractive enclosed garden with seats.
The stairs up to the second floor could have done with a handrail all the way down.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, helping with transportation arrangements and suggesting interesting things to do and see in Paisley. The hotel is located within easy walking to city restaurants, shopping, and sights. The hotel is in a 210 year old mansion, so the ambience is wonderful, and the room had been recently renovated to very modern and comfortable standards. We did not eat there, but had some beers in the evening in their comfortable sitting room. Free wi-fi was a useful added feature. Transportation to the Glasgow Airport was convenient via cab.
Maureen and her staff made the stay feel more like a great visit with family. The location was perfect for us as we had golf booked at Troon and then an early flight the day later. Tooms were also great and the staff very knowledgeable about the area.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable and make sure my needs were met. Lovely food and room was great.
It is a beautiful building set in a quiet cul de sac that gives you a real flavour of old Paisley before the on-set of the modern house sprawl. The rooms are a good size with lots of character.
There could be a small plate by the door to indicate which door belongs to the hotel, it is not clear on arrival and I have seen other guests having the same problem. Also inside some indication of where the office/reception is located.
Fantastic house - very relaxing and comfortable.
I could not fault the hotel. My room and the hotel facilities were excellent. The location is very quiet despite being so close to the town centre, and it is very handy for the airport. I very much appreciated that they offer evening meals.
The friendliness of the staff especially Maureen and Tom who greeted us on our arrival and were there to say farewell.
Wow! I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel! First of all it is an architectural jewel!! The main rooms (dinning, entry hall and staircase) are all very traditional with great molding, paneling and charm, but the room was totally sleek and modern. It was so lovely, and the staff was so helpful!! The directed me to a local pub that would still be serving dinner (I got in late), the pub they recommended was utterly perfect and the food was great as well. They were also very helpful in getting me to the museum I was trying to find and in all my stay was made much nicer because of the hotel I stayed at. I will be back and definitely will stay with the folks at the Ashtree again!
Paisley is fortunate to have such a welcoming, comfortable and bespoke hotel. The staff could not be more friendly .... personal without being over inquisitive. Location is well placed for easy access to M8 & the Airport.
It might be an idea to indicate that the stairs to the 2nd floor are very narrow & steep. Assistance with baggage would be welcome.
Hotel staff kindliness and hospitality, perfect English breakfast.
Greeted on arrival was very pleasant, friendly staff always eager to please.
Staff were very accomodating for special needs
The airport pick up arrangements were too vague and didn't work, wasting more than an hour. Having to pay for the accomodation when we thought we had paid in advance through your service
